When: Saturday, April 2, 2011: 9 AM - 2 PM (updated: Forecast: 53*)

Where: 300-600 Blocks of Washington Avenue in Queens Village, Philadelphia.

What: We’re recruiting volunteers to help bag trash and recycling as well as tend trees and prepare beds for spring planting (we will have a Pennsylvania Horticultural Society trained tree tender in our group).

RSVP: Please email [email protected] or Lauren ([email protected]) to RSVP with your name, email, and length of time (9-2 or when available).

What to wear: Clothes you feel comfortable gardening/cleaning in. We'd suggest jeans/sweats, t-shirts/sweatshirts (please check the weather to dress accordingly), and sneakers. Hats optional.

What to Bring: Volunteer Release form (signed).
What to Bring (Optional - we will have a limited supply on-hand, but if you have:) Work gloves, brooms, rakes, dustpans, etc.

You get:  Snacks, Drinks, a sweet T-shirt, and a satisfaction of helping Philly. We'll even have a raffle for some lucky volunteers!

Celebration/After Party:  Paddy Whack's Pub (2nd & South) is sponsoring a Happy Hour for all volunteers from 2:30-4 PM.  Relax and catch up with fellow volunteers!
